EU Conference on Youth, Peace and Security - Promoting Youth in Peacebuilding. Brussels, 23th May, 2018. This conference includes a panel titled "Empowering young people to prevent / counter violent extremism" that is organised by the UNESCO. The overarching goals of this conference are to further reinforce momentum in the EU implementation of the Youth, Peace and Security agenda, foster EU policy on Youth, Peace and Security, promote EU-United Nations cooperation on youth in peacebuilding, while enhancing the visibility of the Youth, Peace and Security agenda. ERA Seminar on Rehabilitation and Alternative Sanctions to Detention for Radicalised Individuals. Utrecht, 8th-9th March, 2018. This is the third seminar, in a series of four co-funded by the European Commission, on issues related to countering terrorism and radicalisation. It will focus on rehabilitation and alternative sanctions to detention in relation to radicalised individuals. The use of the relevant Framework Decisions within this context will be analysed, along with the judiciary’s role in this area. Read more
European Commission's Conference on Radicalisation in Prisons. Brussels, 27th February, 2018. The European Commission has organised a conference on Radicalisation in Prisons, in close cooperation with the Bulgarian Presidency and with the support of EuroPris and the Confederation of European Probation (CEP). Kick-off meeting of the INTEGRA project held in Toulouse. November 29th and 30th, 2017 marked the official beginning of the INTEGRA project with the kick-off meeting being held at the University of Toulouse II. Euro-mediterranean conference of cities on the prevention of radicalisation. Nice, September 28th-30th, 2017. More than twenty Mediterranean cities, represented by their respective mayors, have gathered to sign the “Nice Declaration” against terrorism.
